Queen Elizabeth II
Queen Elizabeth II was a fabulous monarch and did so many things during her long reign. Her work ethic was unmatched, she happily devoted her life. This is why the whole World is so very sad that she has passed away. 15 Prime ministers have served her, she has seen us through lots of historic moments, and lived to see her own PLATINUM JUBILEE this year.
The Queen was also a style icon. The outfit choices and style were always very elegant, really just timeless. I wonder what will happen to all of her clothes?
She was renowned for being faithful to brands and products that worked for her
Here are some of the things I’ve found out. But first I just want to share this …. a little story of how Queen Elizabeth puts on lipstick in the Royal Box at Windsor Horse Show on May 11th, 1985. Just before Prince Phillip was going to enter the dressage ring with his horse team, thought that was just lovely.
She was an inspiration in so many ways. So graceful when it came to the ageing process, always beautifully cared for healthy skin. One of her secrets was Elizabeth Ardens cream, twice a day both morning and night. The best way to look after the skin is by taking sun protection seriously. Avoiding any direct contact, hats, and headscarves as well as fashion choice also shield her majesty’s face from harmful UV rays.
The British Royal family need discretion across hair, makeup and manicures. Just a lipstick, compact and a touch of blush for public appearances. Clarins Compact Powder, the brand made an exclusive lipstick to match her suit for the Coronation Day in 1953 to celebrate the Queens loyalty to them.
Cheerful coloured outfits
The Queen was always known for her cheerful coloured outfits. Her nails were always kept minimal, with my favourite neutrals or light pinks. The Queens hairdresser wrote to the nail brand Essie to ask for a bottle of their polish in the shade of BALLET SLIPPERS. Explaining that it was what her Majesty loved to wear. The shade became a best seller for its barely there pink shade and milky finish. Maybe the original version of the doughnut trend right now!
Rose scented perfume
A timeless classic White Rose by Floris London. This brand has history with the Royal family, I would love to smell this wouldn’t you? Oh love this, Moulton Brown was official supplier to the Palace. Having been awarded the official warrant by her Majesty, this brand is super known for its luxurious bubble baths, perfumes, hair products and candles.
The Queen had great taste clearly. Known for her quick wit and sense of humour, as well as her passion for horses and equestrian sports. As well as her beautiful dogs and her family. Her Majesty was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.
RIP Ma’am and thankyou for everything.
