POST WAXING CARE
Please don’t touch your freshly WAXED SKIN. The natural oils that are on the skin, can clog the pores. The risk of bacteria that are normally on the skin might increase the risk of infection. Also don’t scratch your newly WAXED AREAS. We really don’t want you to use any oily or drying products on the skin straight away. This includes thick body butters heavily scented body washes, sprays or deodorants. Also, Vaseline and oily products can clog your open pores causing bumps. The fragrances or colourant can increase the risk of a reaction on sensitive freshly WAXED SKIN.
If you notice ingrown hairs after WAXING, make sure you leave them alone for 48 hours. Then EXFOLIATE the WAXED area gently, focusing on the ingrown hairs. You can apply some antiseptic cream. If this doesn’t remove it, you can try a special ingrown hair lotion.
Make sure that you wait 48 hours before having any sun exposure. Freshly WAXED SKIN IS VERY SENSITIVE TO THE SUN. Its outer protective layer has been stripped, therefore sun exposure in this case would be more damaging than usual.
DO NOT GO SWIMMING
DO NOT GO SWIMMING for 48 hours at the pool or at the beach after your WAXING. As the salt water or chlorine could be harsh or sensitize the area.
Chemical peels are out of the question, as the WAXING has already removed the superficial layer of skin cells. Peeling would only strip those layers more deeply increasing the risk of skin damage, drying, irritation, or infection. So, it’s advised to wait at least 36 to 72 hours.
