So I’m sharing some information about the LASH LIFT, the latest treatment added to WIT WOO services …eeeek! No matter how much mascara you layer on, sometimes your lashes just need an extra boost and oh my days this is it. While eyelash extensions are a fabulous option, they also require far more maintenance. THE LASH LIFT is essentially a perm for your natural lashes, this low maintenance process lifts and curls the lashes long term, what’s not to love? Looking to save some time with your morning routine, then the LASH LIFT is perfecto.
WHAT IS A LASH LIFT?
A lash lift curls your natural lashes from the base to the tip, so you can see the full length, all natural lashes have a natural shape to them, so the process alters that shape using an eye shield and lifting solution. It’s not as scary as that sounds ha ha, your eyes are closed for the duration, although there are some chemicals involved, this being the reason why it should only be done by a qualified professional.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF HAVING THE LASH LIFT?
The treatment begins with a thorough cleanse of the eye area and we place an eye pad to keep your bottom eyelashes out of the way, before applying the shield on the eyelid to set the lashes on, all ok so far? Once everything is perfectly placed, the lifting lotion is applied allowing those beautiful lashes to mould around the shield, in the new position, followed by a setting lotion that sets the lash shape. Then the final part is to tint the lashes…… either a chocolate brown or black or even blue black. Expect the whole thing to last 45 to 60 minutes, you would need to have had a patch test of the lotions and tint to go ahead.
HOW LONG DOES THE LASH LIFT LAST?
The results typically last four to six weeks, depending on how quickly your eyelashes grow You should avoid mascara for 48 hours after the treatment, and leave the lashes untouched for a full day. No water or makeup should come into contact with your lashes for 24 hours to ensure the lift correctly sets into shape. Then you will fully enjoy this treatments results. Once the lashes are set, products can help to keep them in tip top shape, for post treatment care I can highly recommend a lash oil to keep them nourished and conditioned. Absolutely Fabulous.
