Non-invasive Cosmetic Treatment
Now don’t worry but this does sound quite intense, exfoliate the face with a scalpel? Dermaplaning is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment. It doesn’t hurt it is painless, and it effectively removes dead skin cells. it can remove up to two weeks of dead skin, and Vellus hairs, (better known as peach fuzz). Leaving the skin looking remarkably brighter smoother and incredibly soft.
Dermaplaning is not the same as shaving your face. Although they are very similar, DERMAPLANING delivers exfoliation along with hair removal. It smooths out uneven skin texture and gives you a smoother base for your foundation and makeup. Effective for removing anything your exfoliant can’t. Removing the dead skin and excess skin oils from the surface of your pores, may actually help prevent future breakouts.
Downtime?
Well non really, a slight redness sometimes, that fades quickly. Obviously, some people are more sensitive than others. Wit Woo does offer this as a standalone facial double cleanse tone dermaplane serum and moisturise. The more luxurious option is to book the Dermaplaning Duo, including a facial massage followed by the carefully selected mask cooling and nourishing while you enjoy a scalp massage, mmm relaxing bliss. The real issue is to stop yourself touching your super soft face!
Following the treatment no Sauna sunbeds or jacuzzi swimming for 48 hours, and keep your face protected with sunscreen! Loosing that thin layer of skin means you will be more susceptible to sun damage. I love to let the skin breathe for the rest of the day. If you do need to wear makeup, you can, but the skin barrier is more open and may become more irritated.
