STOP. Breathe in and breathe out. Give yourself a break. The great thing about this self-help tool is the fact that we all do it. It can be used anytime anywhere. It can also be a valuable thing that brings us back into focus. Instantly reducing stress, quit that overload mindset, and regained how you want to feel. Dolly Parton used to squeeze her bum cheeks together if ever she wanted to cry, too funny not to share! Might not even be true but made you raise an eyebrow!
Busy days when the pressure is rising
Let your thoughts of breathing help you relax. Generally, we have things simmering away, we are living now when we are all multi-tasking life. Working hard with families, days out, school trips networking, and the constants of online. We do bring a lot of it on ourselves. Nothing planned or in the pipeline then we are somehow under achieving. Things booked in the diary, stressed over fitting it all in.
Be mindful of the things you’re committing too
I recently booking a holiday after some wine (ha ha) honestly at my age you would think I would know better! Only a few small issues with the booking, the least being finding out that my son needed a new passport! You catching my drift! Add to the mix time off work, pets, spontaneously booking holibobs is on my no no list.
That’s how I deal with things too ditch the unimportant remind myself I’m capable of sorting this. Working my way through, using my practised breathing (sometimes using it without realising it). Feeling calmer quite quickly and back to myself again. Try it on your dog! My big boy Mr T lets me know when I’m getting a little stressed. And I can destress him too its fascinating, like magic. I love anything a bit WOO.
The relationship we have with ourselves sets the tone for every other relationship you have
Be open and positive to lessons that the day brings. Decide that the day is going to be a good one. Maybe book yourself a little treat. When people start to see the bigger picture and realise that in being a good kind person to the World, we must also be that to ourselves. Maybe a simple lash tint, or brow wax could be the gesture to you that makes you feel good.
